Nepal won the men's Marathon at the highest peak in the world


Bed Bahadur Sunuwar Nepal, men who worked as a military soldier won the marathon race at the highest location in the world. Marathon takes place on Mount Everest.

Sunuwar is one of hundreds of participants of the Marathon which was followed by the citizens of Nepal and runners from other countries. Start starts from the base camp Nepal.

The annual marathon race was held to celebrate the success of the climber Tenzing Norgay and Edmund Hillary who first reached the Summit of Mount Everest in 1953.

Finish line race is 2,000 meters below the slopes of Mount Everest.

Sumuwar reported completing the race in a time of 6 minutes 10 seconds.

"The route was very challenging but also amazing. I am proud to be the winner, "said the 29-year-old man.

About 30 local runners join approximately 130 from around the world, including the United Kingdom, the United States, China and Australia.

Earlier, by 2015, a man of Nepal also became the winner of this race.

This is the first climbing season on Everest after a two-season hit by disaster, avalanche that killed 16 guides in 2014, and an earthquake in 2015.

Although the 2016 season passed without the tragedy, but several deaths from altitude sickness during the busy period occurred at the Summit of Everest.
